The second episode of the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones was leaked.
Multiple outlets confirm that the episode was leaked online ahead of its Sunday night debut on the premium cabler.
This is the second week in a row that an episode of GoT was made available to watch online prior to its scheduled airing. Deadline reports that the first episode of the eighth and final season was released on DirecTV Now four hours before it was to air. This week, rumbling of the leak began on Reddit and Twitter, where users pointed out that the second episode was streaming much earlier than its slated release on Amazon Prime Video in Germany.
“We regret that for a short time Amazon customers in Germany were able to access episode 2 of season 8 of Game of Thrones,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement Sunday. “This was an error and has been rectified.”
Representatives for HBO have not responded to requests for comments.
