Congratulations to Game of Thrones stars!
Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie tied the knot in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, on Saturday. The venue, a private hotel and a popular wedding spot, have been owned by the actress’ family for the past 900 years.
The couple met on the set of the HBO hit series, when their on-screen romance as Jon Snow and Ygritte continued off screen and found love in real life.
The couple, both 31, announced their engagement in September of last year and have been together for four years at the time of their nuptials.
The couple’s official announcement was made in The London Times. “The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harrington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” the announcement read.
The bride looked absolutely gorgeous in a long sleeve ivory lace wedding dress, a white flower crown and cathedral veil. The handsome groom wore a long black jacket over a cream vest, white shirt, black tie and gray pinstriped pants.
The Guardian reports that Leslie’s father spoke outside the church saying, “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today. It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”
The private ceremony was attended by the happy couple’s GoT co-stars including Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke.
