During the INTV Conference panel in Jerusalem, HBO executives promised fans the series’ finale will not fall short of their very high expectations.

Francesca Orsi, HBO SVP of drama, who took part in a panel spoke of the table reading where the show’s main characters read through the final six scripts, calling it a “dream opportunity.”

“It was amazing,” she said. “By the very end, everyone looked down and looked up and tears were in their eyes. The events of the show’s final episode were completely unknown to the actors before that emotional table read. “None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started falling down to their deaths.”

The spinoffs are to live up to original, Orsi continued, promising they are going to be just as big as GoT. “It feels like corporate malfeasance to not continue it. That’s why it spawned three, four, five spinoffs [and] we’re going big.”

The spinoffs are actually prequels as they are set before the events on GoT and will not include any of the current cast members.

What Orsi meant by “one by one they started falling down to their deaths” is completely open to interpretations, only time will tell how will take the iron throne.

Game of Thrones return for its final season in 2019.
