Girl Meets World Potentially Canceled

It appears that things may be bleak for fans of Girl Meets World, as the spin-off to the popular 90s series Boy Meets World may be on it’s last legs.

According to Rider Strong, who played Shawn Hunter in both the original series and the spin-off, production of the show ended after filming on season 3 ended. Strong said on his podcast, “We finished the third season of Girl Meets World, my brother and I were directing a lot of episodes and I acted in a couple, and the show ended”.

While this may seem like bad news for fans of the show, the writers of the show gave fans a bit of hope. The writers, in response to a concerned fan, took to Twitter stating “Nothing is official yet”, in regards to the fate of the show and a potential season four. The writers also poked fun at Strong, as well as his Shawn Hunter character, in regards to his comments, stating, “As much as I love Shawn Hunter, having created his character and everything, you have to remember he was wrong a lot.”

As of now, there is no further information from either the cast or crew, or Disney itself, in regards to the shows future.
