Golden Globes: Jimmy Fallon’s Greatest Moments

We all know that Jimmy Fallon can make an audience laugh, but to host a Golden Globes ceremony is a big deal even for him. His opening monologue was full of throwbacks to the events that marked 2016.

Naturally, at the beginning of the event he said that Globes were the event “where America still honors the popular vote,” alluding to the presidential election.

He didn’t forget to mention Game of Thrones: “…what it would have been like if King Joffrey had lived … well in 12 days we’ll find out,” another allusion to Donald Trump.

According to Fallon, even Meryl Streep’s character Florence Foster Jenkins would refuse performing at Trump’s inauguration.

Fallon continued to call out many of the present actors, including Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and others.
