Goran Visnjic Joins NBC’s Drama “This is Us” in a Recurring Role

NBC’s acclaimed drama This is Us will welcome a new cast member once the show returns to TV from its mid-season break. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goran Visnjic, who is best known for his roles in ER and Timeless, will join the series in a recurring role for the second part of season three.

Visnjic will make his first appearance in one of the future episodes, playing the role of Beth’s (Susan Kelechi Watson) dance teacher Vincent. The air date for the episode, which will revolve around Beth and her life before joining the Pederson family, remains unknown.

“We have a really, really special episode coming up that is pretty much entirely devoted to Beth and her life outside of Randall and who she was before she met him,” co-showrunner Isaac Aptaker told THR about the upcoming episode. “That will answer a lot of questions about why future Beth was presiding over all those ballerinas.”

Goran Visnjic received his first major breakthrough when he was cast as Dr. Luka Kovac in NBC’s hit medical drama ER in 1999. After leaving the show in season 15, Visnjic went on to star in several movies, including New York, I Love You and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, before landing a role of Garcia Flynn in sci-fi show Timeless in 2016. His most recent effort was Netflix’ horror-comedy Santa Clarita Diet.
