Maisie Williams Joins the Cast Of “gen:Lock”

The upcoming anime-style web series Gen:Lock already has a pretty impressive cast, but things just got a little bit better. Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams will take a break from playing the faceless assassin to voice mischievous Scottish hacker Cammie MacCloud.

gen:Lock was described as a cautionary tale about cultural warfare, which centers on Earth’s last free society. In order to protect it, a diverse team of young pilots comes together and tries their best to control the next generation of giant, weaponized robot bodies.

Maisie Williams isn’t the only rising star cast in this exciting project – gen:Lock also stars Michael B. Jordan and Dakota Fanning. It was created by Gray Haddock, who’s super-excited to have Williams on board.

“Working with Maisie is as fun as it gets. Her energy and the sense of humor she brings to Cammie is an absolute delight. I’m running out of superlatives to describe how perfect this cast works for the characters, but Maisie truly sounds exactly like how Cammie does in my head –she’s brilliant,” said the showrunner.
