“Gotham” Renewed for Fifth and Final Season at Fox

Fox’s fall schedule is out and it brings with it good news for Gotham fans.

Variety reports that the DC Comics-based series has been renewed for a fifth season, which will also be its last. 

The upcoming season will focus on Bruce Wayne’s (David Mazouz) transformation into Batman. The series chronicles the origins of the caped nocturnal crusader and it also stars Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald The Penguin, Cory Michael Smith as Edward The Riddler, Morena Baccarin as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, Drew Powell as Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy, Alexander Siddig as Ra’s Ah Ghul, Crystal Reed as Sofia Falcone, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Jessica Lucas as Tabitha Galavan and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth.

The network also renewed the drama series Lethal Weapon as well as 911, Empire, Star, The Gifted, The Resident, and the Orville. Most of Fox’s live-action comedies got the ax, including The Mick and The Last Man on Earth. It also ordered three new series for the 2018-19 season including The Passage, Proven Innocent and The Cool Kids.
