“Grace and Frankie” Will End Its Run After Seven Seasons

Netflix is pulling the plug on the beloved sitcom Grace and Frankie after seven seasons, but even its ending is a monumental achievement. After getting a 16-episode order for its final season, this show is set to become Netflix original with the most episodes.

Grace and Frankie premiered in 2015 and told the hilarious and emotional story of two women who have nothing in common but end up forming an unlikely friendship after their husbands decide to leave them – for each other.

Hollywood veterans Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin took on the titular roles in this sitcom and received a series of award nominations for their individual performances. Despite the fact they’ll miss these characters as much as we will, their legacy lives on.

“We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace and Frankie will be back for its seventh, though final, season. We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation. And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well,” said the duo in an official statement.
