Greg Kinnear and Lesley Manville will star in Keira Knightley’s Miss World movie, Misbehaviour.
Also on board are Keeley Hawes, Rhys Ifans, and Phyllis Logan. The five new cast members will star opposite the already announced leads, Keira Knightley, Gugu Mbatha Raw, and Jessie Buckley.
Misbehavious follows the true events of the 1970 disrupted Miss World contest during which the newly founded Women’s Liberation Movement stormed the stage. The show was at the height of its popularity when the movement interrupted the live broadcast of the pageant, claiming that beauty competitions demeaned women.
The film is directed by BAFTA winner Philippa Lowthorpe from an original script penned by Rebecca Flynn and Gaby Chiappe. The film is produced by Suzanne Mackie and by Sarah-Jane Wheale.
Shooting is currently underway in London.
