“Grey’s Anatomy” is Welcoming Back a Familiar Face in Season 14

Now that’s what you call a blast from the past.

ABC’s hit medical drama is bringing back a familiar face in its forthcoming 14th season. Actress Sarah Utterback will be reprising her role as nurse Olivia, and that means an awkward run-in with Dr. Alex Karev (Alex Chambers). The two were intimate way back when in season two when the hospital was still called Seattle Grace.

EW reports that Olivia will make an appearance in the April 26 episode after not appearing on the show since season six when she was fired ahead of the merger with Mercy West. Olivia makes her return to the hospital with her son, something that will definitely through Dr. Karev and his new on-screen fiancée Jo (Camilla Luddington) for a loop.

Nurse Olivia is not the only familiar face to make an appearance on the show with Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) back for an extended arc during the current season.

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
