Gwyneth Paltrow is Leaving MCU After “Avengers: Endgame”

The list of actors that are leaving Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers: Endgame just got a little bit longer. Gwyneth Paltrow recently confirmed this movie will be her last.

Paltrow spent an entire decade playing the role of Pepper Potts – Tony Stark’s personal assistant, closest friend, and love interest. It all started with Iron Man, directed by her good friend Jon Favreau all the way back in 2008.

Starring in a movie of this scope was out of her comfort zone, but Paltrow agreed to do it as a favor to Favreau. The oscar-winning actress described filming of the first movie as a wonderful experience and said it was amazing to watch how important it has become to fans.

Unfortunately, Paltrow feels she’s a little bit old to be running around wearing a suit, and that’s part of the reason why she’s leaving MCU. She’s still open to the possibility of making a cameo in one of the future films.

“Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?’ I will always be there if they need me. I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” said Paltrow in her recent cover story with Variety.
