Harrison Ford might have passed on the torch to Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner 2049, or at least to someone who he thinks whose name is Ryan.
The duo appeared together on an upcoming episode of The Graham Norton Show, when Ford momentarily blanked on his co-star’s name while explaining how he got involved in the Blade Runner sequel movie.
“I thought it was awesome, I thought it was great and as I read it I read about the character that… Ry, Ryan,” Ford says with hesitation. “Ryan.” Gosling played it off well as he simply replied, “it’s Ryan” turning it into a recurring gag throughout the segment. As Ford continued his story the next time he had to say Gosling’s name, he pretended he had forgotten it again.
Gosling stepped into the lead role in Ridley Scott’s sequel of the sci-fi classic. Also starring are Jared Leto and Robin Wright.
Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters on October 6.
