Hash Browns Recalled Possible Golf Balls Contamination

‘Harris Teeter Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns’ Frozen hash browns packages by McCain Foods are being recalled from 9 states in the US due to the potato contents possibly being contaminated with ”extraneous golf ball material” reports the Associated Press.

According to the FDA recall notice, it is possible that golf balls were “inadvertently harvested with potatoes used to make this product”, sliced and diced and added to the frozen product.

“Consumption of these products may pose a choking hazard or other physical injury to the mouth.” No injuries have been sustained due to the mix-up, CNN reports.
