Amazon is currently developing their first romance anthology series and they managed to attract one of the most impressive ensemble casts we’ve ever seen. Anne Hathaway and Tina Fey will lead the way in Modern Love.
This promising project is based on the popular New York Times column about love and human connection. Eight standalone episodes will explore love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self-love.
In addition to Hathaway and Fey, Modern Love will also star John Slattery (Mad Men), Dev Patel (Lion), Catherine Keener (Get Out), Andy Garcia (Ocean’s Eleven) and Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One). John Carney will be in charge of directing, writing and producing the series and he can’t wait to start working with everyone who came on board for this amazing project.
“It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store. We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favorite actors. It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty,” said Carney.
