Mission accepted!
Hayley Atwell has been cast in an undisclosed role in the forthcoming installment of the long-running spy franchise.
The news was confirmed by writer-director Christopher McQuarrie who took to Instagram, writing “Should you choose to accept…” alongside a photo of Atwell.
Atwell responded with her own Instagram post writing, “Mission: Accepted. Though I’m not the sort to follow orders…”
According to Entertainment Weekly, Atwell will take on a lead role in the seventh Mission: Impossible film opposite Tom Cruise who returns yet again as the seemingly indestructible agent Ethan Hunt.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe star most recently starred in Avengers: Endgame.
