Heartstopper featured several amazing guest stars over the years, and this trend will continue in Season 3. Jonathan Bailey, Hayley Atwell, and Eddie Marsan landed key supporting roles in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s hit teen drama.
Bailey’s casting doesn’t come as a shocker to Heartstopper fans because rumors about his potential involvement made the rounds online last month. He’ll make a cameo as an Instagram-famous classicist and Charlie’s celebrity crush, Jack Maddox, and Heartstopper teased his role with a short clip on social media.
Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman said they’re incredibly excited to be welcoming three new cast members, and revealed what we can expect from Atwell’s and Marsan’s characters.
“Hayley Atwell joins the Nelson family as Nick’s Aunt Diane, who takes Nick on a summer holiday to Menorca and has some tough advice to impart about his relationship. Eddie Marsan will be portraying a beloved character from the graphic novels: Geoff, Charlie’s wise and straight-talking therapist,” said Oseman in a statement.
Joe Locke and Nick Nelson will return as leads in the third season of Heartstopper, along with supporting players William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan. Eight new episodes will debut on Netflix this October, and the streamer is yet to announce the official release date.
