A “Hocus Pocus” Reunion is Officially Happening

Another Halloween special has just been announced!

Just days after a special anniversary concert was announced in celebration of Broadway hit musical Wicked’s 15th anniversary, Freedom announced that Hocus Pocus is coming back to celebrate its 25th anniversary. 

The anniversary special titled, Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash, will air this October and will reunite two of the three sisters from the original cult classic. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy will make an appearance but despite this being the first-ever televised reunion, Bette Midler who played Winifred Sanderson in the iconic film, won’t be involved. 

The special will feature interviews and performances by Omri Katz, Thora Birch, Doug Jones, Amanda Shepherd, Larry Bagby, Jason Marsden, and Tobias Jelinek, director Kenny Ortega, writers Mick Garris and David Kirschner, choreographer Peggy Holmes, and composer John Debney.

According to E! the event will also include a costume party judges by Sharon and Kelly Osbourne.

The Hocus Pocus special airs Saturday, October 20 on Freeform.
