Hugh Jackman is Embarking on a World Musical Tour

Hugh Jackman is taking a break from acting in order to pursue his other passion – music. The Australian actor recently announced that he will embark on a world musical tour, titled The Man. The Music. The Show, next summer. The tour will see Jackman performing music from Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman as well as from his other films and Broadway shows like Boy From Oz.

“I am doing a big arena tour,” said Jackman on NBC’s Today. “This is a dream come true for me. I’ve done it in Australia but now I’m going around the world. I’m going to cities all over America, we’re going to Europe, we’re going to to the U.K., we’re going back to Australia and New Zealand. I’m singing, I’m dancing, I’m telling stories.”

On this tour, Hugh Jackman will be accompanied by a live 26-piece orchestra and “about 30 singers and dancers.” The 50-year-old also said that he will bring special guests for the shows and that he will try to make every performance into a party.

The U.S. leg of The Man. The Music. The Show tour will kick off on June 18, 2019, in Houston and is scheduled to wrap up with two shows at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on July 19th and 20th.

This won’t be the first time that Jackman performs in concerts as he already performed several similar shows in 2011 in California and Canada. Jackman also had two Broadway music concerts, 2011’s Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway and 2015’s Broadway to Oz.
