Hulu’s “Four Weddings and a Funeral” Casts Andie MacDowell

Andie MacDowell has been tapped to star in Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral.

The limited series has also just recast its lead, with Nathalie Emmanuel replacing originally cast Jessica Williams to play a Texas socialite who is getting married. Emmanuel is best known for her roles as Missandei on Game Of Thrones and as Ramsey in Fast and the Furious franchise.

MacDowell who was the star of the hit 1994 film of the same name, will star in the Hulu limited series inspired by the romantic comedy. According to Deadline, MacDowell will play a new character, Mrs. Howard.

Five other new cast members were also announced — Brandon Mychal Smith, Zoe Boyle, Jennie Jacques, Harish Patel, and Guz Khan. They join the previously announced Nikesh Patel, Rebecca Rittenhouse and John Reynolds.

The series follows four friends — Maya (Emmanuel), Craig (Smith), Ainsley (Rittenhouse) and Duffy (Reynolds), who reunite for a wedding, but then their lives spin into a whirlwind of events, including well, four weddings and a funeral.

The series, written and executive produced by Mindy Kaling, is set to premiere in 2019.
