Most people know Elba as an actor, but he also happens to be a pretty successful DJ, who’s set to appear at Coachella in 2019. This isn’t the only project where we’ll get to see him exploring his passion for music – Elba will play a struggling DJ in the upcoming Netflix series Turn Up Charlie.
His background in the music industry isn’t the only reason we’re psyched about his possible collaboration with Swift. They’ll both appear in the upcoming big-screen remake of Cats, and having them work on a song together would be the icing on the cake.
“This year’s been amazing, because I get to play and make music a lot more and I’m hoping that… I might get Taylor and I to do a song. I mean, that would be great. We’re cool, you know? She’s a good girl, she’s a great artist. She’s got a really good heart and she works hard,” said Idris Elba.
