The list of new additions to the Veronica Mars revival on Hulu continues to get more impressive with the streaming service giant recently announcing that Academy Award-winning actor J.K. Simmons will join the project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simmons will play the role of ex-con Clyde Pricket. Pricket protected Neptune’s richest real estate developer Big Dick Casablancas (David Starzyk) when he ended up and prison, and now works for him after becoming a free man. The character is described as “smarter and more dangerous” than Big Dick and has “a network of fellow ex-cons he can count on to keep his own hands clean.”
J.K. Simmons joins a lengthy list of new cast members for the Veronica Mars revival which already includes Dawnn Lewis, Patton Oswalt, Clifton Collins Jr., and Izabela Vidovic. The revival will see most of the original cast making their return including Kristen Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Francis Capra, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Ryan Hansen, Max Greenfield, and Daran Norris.
It was previously revealed that the new episodes of the series will revolve around a series of murders that took place in Neptune during the Spring Break. Veronica gets involved in the case after the family of one victim asks her to investigate these events.
Hulu’s Veronica Mars revival will have eight episodes and will air at some point in 2019.
