James Corden Returning as Host of the 2019 Tony Awards

The Tony Awards are coming our way this June, and we finally know who’ll be in charge of hosting the ceremony. James Corden is coming back to kick off the show during Broadway’s biggest night.

The Late Late Show star is no stranger to hosting the Tonys – he already assumed this role one time in the past. He was in charge of hosting back in 2016, and can’t wait to do it again.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to host the Tony Awards, the Broadway community is very dear to my heart and I’m beyond proud to be part of this incredibly special night,” stated Corden.

The British actor managed to establish himself as one of the most recognizable late-night hosts and he’s also a respectable theater actor. He got his big break with the role in acclaimed play The History Boys, and went on to win a Tony for One Man, Two Guvnors in 2012.
