James Gunn Returning to Direct “Guardians of the Galaxy 3”

All hell broke loose after Disney bosses fired James Gunn, who did a great job directing the first two films in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The future of the film series was on the line, and after fans kept urging them to bring Gunn back, the studio finally granted their wish.

Gunn was fired after a series of offensive tweets resurfaced, but those close to the director claimed they don’t match his personal actions and believes. Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista immediately backed him up, and signed an open letter asking the studio to hire him back.

Fans were also on Gunn’s side and they were heartbroken after Disney put Guardians of the Galaxy 3 on hold. They didn’t stop hoping that the studio will eventually bring him back and Gunn thanked them for their continuing support.

“I am tremendously grateful to every person out there who has supported me over the past few months. I am always learning and will continue to work at being the best human being I can be,” tweeted James Gunn.

He also thanked the studio for giving him another chance and said he’s excited to continue making films that investigate the ties of love that bind us all.
