The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star has joined the cast of General Hospital.
Janet Hubert, who is best known for her role as Vivian Banks opposite Will Smith has been tapped to play Yvonne on the daytime series. According to Entertainment Weekly, Yvonne has been set as a love interest for Mike played by Max Gail at the nursing home.
The daytime soap drama will begin to unfold next month, as Hubert’s first episode airs December 7.
The medical drama is the longest-running American soap opera currently in production and the second-longest drama in American television history. General Hospital premiered on ABC on April 1, 1963.
This will be Hubert’s second appearance on a soap, previously starring in One Live to Live and All My Children.
