Janet Jackson Teams Up With Daddy Yankee in Vibrant New Video

Janet Jackson hasn’t surprised us with a new single in over two years, but she’s finally back – and she’s taking the world by storm! The video for her new song Made for Now just dropped and it’s just a matter of time before it goes viral, since it also features Daddy Yankee of Despacito fame.

The Dave Meyers-directed visual is so radiant, upbeat and colorful you won’t be able to take your eyes off. It’s set in different neighborhoods of Brooklyn on a hot summer day, and let’s just say it really turns up the heat!

The video follows Jackson throughout the city as she dances on the streets, rooftops, apartments and various other locations with her crew. Jackson and her longtime creative director really went an extra mile with this video and selected an international crew for this project. Made for Now features dancers from Ghana, Nigeria, Grenada, Trinidad, and the United States, who perfectly come together.

To make things even better, Jackson decided to surprise her fans by performing the song live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It was her first late-night television appearance in 14 years. The host described her as a “global icon and one of the best-selling artists of all time” during his introduction, and her amazing performance proved the world she’s worthy of that title.
