The Mad Men alumna has just scored her next television role.
January Jones is set to play a lead role in Nteflix’s upcoming figure skating drama, Spinning Out.
According to Deadline, Jones will play Carol Baker, the mother of Kat (Kaya Scodelario) and Serena (Willow Shields). The series follows Kat, an up-and-coming skater who’s about to turn in her skates after a disastrous fall took her off the competition track. But then she seizes an opportunity to continue her career as a pair skater with bad-boy partner Justin (Evan Roderick). Carol is a former figure skater who had to give up on her going pro dreams when she became pregnant with her oldest daughter at a young age. Carol fiercely pushes both her girls to become Olympians in order to fulfill the dream she could never achieve herself. Simultaneously, she struggles with personal demons that threaten to ruin her relationship with her daughters.
Also starring are Johnny Weir, Sarah Wright Olsen, Will Kemp, Kaitlyn Leeb, Amanda Zhou, and Mitchell Edwards.
