Only a few months after their second engagement—and two decades after their first—Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are finally husband and wife! The power couple tied the knot this weekend in a small and intimate ceremony in Las Vegas.
Lopez and Affleck ushering in the era of Bennifer 2.0. after rekindling their romance last spring. After almost a year of dating, they got engaged this April, 20 years after their first engagement.
They obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada on July 16, but couldn’t wait any longer to get hitched and did it right away in Sin City. They tied the knot at the A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, and J. Lo intends to take the name Jennifer Affleck after the wedding.
She shared the details about the wedding in her “On the JLo” newsletter, sent out to her fans one day later. She said that they read their vows “in a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet” – and that it was exactly what they wanted.
“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving, and good to one another. We had that. And so much more. Best night of our lives” wrote the singer in her newsletter.
