Jennifer Lopez was the rightful queen of rom-coms during the 2000s, and she’s ready to take her crown back as she’s just been cast in the promising new project, Marry Me, also starring Owen Wilson.
This exciting comedy is based on a graphic novel by Bobby Crosby, and it’s been described as Notting Hill meets The Proposal. It will be directed by Kat Coiro, who’s mostly known for her TV work on the shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The Mick.
Marry Me tells the story of a famous pop superstar, who finds out her fiancé was cheating on her, moments before they were supposed to tie the knot at the Madison Square Garden. She decides to ditch him on the spot and do something no one could’ve seen coming – marry a random guy from the crowd instead.
Marry Me isn’t the only exciting big screen project J.Lo is working right now. She’s currently busy filming revenge flick Hustlers, also starring Constance Wu and Cardi B.
