The role in The Sinner helped Jessica Biel re-discover her passion for television and she’s getting ready to lead another TV series. The Golden Globe nominee has been cast in Facebook Watch original series Limetown, based on a popular podcast of the same name.
Creators of the original podcast, Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, were in charge of writing the script for this intriguing adaptation. It follows journalist Lia Haddock, who uses her show on American Public Radio to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee.
Limetown isn’t the first Facebook Watch series to attract stellar cast. They recently started streaming critically acclaimed dramedy Sorry For Your Loss, with Elizabeth Olsen in the lead. It will be followed by another dark comedy Queen America, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones.
A premiere date for Limetown is yet to be set and as of now we only know it’s been given a 10-episode order. In addition to playing the lead, Jessica Biel will also serve as executive produces through her Iron Ocean production company.
