The first look at Jessica Chatain’s upcoming spy film is here.
The 42-year-old actress took to Instagram Monday sharing a behind-the-scenes video of the female-led thriller 355. The film follows an international group of female spies played by Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o, Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger, and Fan Bingbing.
In the footage, Chastain meets director Simon Kinberg in Paris, The two get in a car, where Chastain says, “As Simon and I were doing ‘X-Men,’ I had this idea of doing this female ensemble action film and called all the actresses and we are the studio. Everyone owns the film and now we’re making it.”
Chastain captioned the video with video “Principal photography for @355movie has officially commenced! #High5for355.”
Chastain told The Hollywood Reporter that all of the actresses own equity in the film. “I love the idea about creating this movie and seeing that these women aren’t just people for hire,” she told the outlet.
355 is set to be released in 2020.
