One year after Sentient’s Renee Tab acquired the rights to Ashley Ream’s acclaimed novel, Losing Clementine, the project is beginning to take shape.

Multiple outlets confirm that two time Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain has landed the lead role in the forthcoming dramedy.

Chastain will portray world-renowned artist Clementine Pritchard who gives herself 31 days to tie up loose ends before killing herself. In the process, Pritchard uncovers secrets about her family and a tragedy that impacted her mother and sister.

Set to direct is filmmaker Lucia Puenzo from a script by Better Call Saul writer Ann Cherkis.

Chastain most recently starred in It: Chapter Two. You can see her next in 355 and Eve.
