Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel teased back in April that some major muscle will join the next installment of the franchise and now it has been made official.
Universal officially confirmed Friday that John Cena has joined the forthcoming installment of the high action film.
Dwayne Johnson aka the Rock will not be returning for the ninth installment of the action franchise, so it only makes sense that a new house-size professional wrestler has been cast and joined the crew.
Details of Cena’s character are being secret, however, in his original Instagram post Diesel did say to expect “a badass.”
Justin Lin is directing from a screenplay by Dan Casey.
Production is set to begin next month for a Spring 2020 premiere.
