After nearly two years of being a couple, John Stamos and girlfriend Caitlin McHugh are engaged!
The Fuller House star announced the engagement in a sweet Instagram post. Stamos shared a drawing of himself and the 31-year-old actress in front of the most magical backdrop there is – the Disneyland castle. To this sweet post, 54-year-old Stamos added an absolutely magical caption as he wrote, “I asked … she said yes! …And we lived happily ever after.”
We first learned of the couple’s relationship when Stamos appeared on The View in March 2016.
“This girl I’m dating she loves this song, ‘Disney Girls,'” the actor said. “So I put on FaceTime. I thought I could get away with [it] but people were tweeting, ‘Who are you FaceTiming?!'”
Earlier this year, McHugh told Entertainment Tonight that Stamos is “very encouraging of anything [she] want[s] to do career-wise,” adding that, from her experience, it’s something that “you don’t get with every guy.”
The duo worked on a short film together earlier this year directed by Stamos and starring McHugh.
“They say if you can do a film together, you can do anything together,” she joked. “I’m very happy to say we survived the filming process and we’re in editing now. We’re both still alive so it’s great!”
