The latest celebrity in the row to comment on President Donald Trump in a controversial way is Johnny Depp. The actor addressed the crowd at a screening of his movie The Libertine.
Depp asked the crowd, “Can we bring Trump here?” When the people started booing, he continued, “No, no, no, you’ve misunderstood completely. I think he needs help.”
“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?,” Depp then asked and the crowd started cheering.
Depp has since apologized:
“I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump.”
