Jordan Peele-Produced Drama, “The Hunt,” Ordered to Series by Amazon

Another straight-to-order at Amazon, this time for a new drama series helmed by Jordan Peele. The marks Peele’s second project with Amazon.

Set in the late ’70s in New York City, The Hunt follows a group of Nazi Hunters. The Hunters discover that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among them and the eclectic team sets out on a quest to bring the Nazis to justice.

The series was created by David Well and is based on an original idea based on real-life event. Well is also penning the script and will serve as an executive producer. Peele will executive produce via his Monkeypaw Productions banner, along with Monkeypaw’s Win Rosenfeld.

“When David Weell first shared The Hunt with me, I immediately knew that we had to be involved,” Peele said. “It’s cathartic. It’s noir. It’s frighteningly relevant. It’s exactly what I want to see on television. I am thrilled to be working with Amazon in bringing this incredible vision to the world.”

Peele is currently serving as co-creator on TBS’ comedy The Last OG and is set to serve as executive producer on CBS All Access’ reboot of Twilight Zone.
