Jordan Peele revealed Tuesday the poster and release date of his next horror film, Us, on Twitter. The upcoming horror feature will hit theaters March 2019.
The Academy Award-winning screenwriter is once again directing his own script. He is also producing through his Monkeypaw Productions together with Sean McKittrick and Jason Blum. Monkeypaw’s Ian Cooper will also serve as co-producer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is said to center on two couples, one white and one black. Winston Duke and Lupita Nyong’o are circling to star as one couple while Elisabeth Moss is reported to play part of the other couple.
Duke and Nyong’O recently appeared in the blockbuster movie, Black Panther while Moss is currently starring on season 2 of the Emmy-award winning series The Handmaid’s Tale.
This film is Peele’s first project since winning an Oscar for Get Out. He became the first black writer to win Best Original Screenplay for his directorial debut. In addition to Us, he has signed on as executive producer for a four-part documentary series, Lorena, centered on Lorena Bobbitt for Amazon Prime. He’s also spearheading the revival of The Twilight Zone, alongside Simon Kinberg and Marco Ramirez, ET reports.
