Jordin Sparks posted on Instagram on Thanksgiving Day, to announce that she and husband, Dana Isaiah, are expecting a baby boy.
“IT’S A BOY!!! We have so much to be thankful for and this is definitely at the top of the list! @_danaisaiah’s gonna have a little mini me running around! We can’t wait to meet him. We love you lil man! 💙💙💙💙,” Sparks captioned a photo which shows the couple sitting on the ground with blue confetti around them.
The season 6 American Idol winner revealed that she secretly married Isaiah in July, and that they were expecting their first child next spring.
“We’re both really excited,” Sparks told People. “He’s been like, ‘I want to shout it from the mountain tops!’ We’re really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this.”
The singer also said she was “excited” about her pregnancy shape.
“I’ve always loved my curves,” she shared. “Now I have different ones and I’m excited about them.”
The “Tattoo” singer shared that she knew she would marry Isaiah one day.
“A couple of days after we had actually met, I was like in my head ‘That’s going to be my husband! That’s my husband right there,’” she shared. “When I’m with him, I feel comfort and safety and calm and peace, and those aren’t things that I normally felt. So it was a little wake-up call for me.”
