Julianna Margulies returning to TV in “Dietland”

Everyones favorite “good wife” is back! Julianna Margulies will star in Marti Noxon’s adaptation of Dietland.

AMC announced that Julianna Margulies, star of the hit legal drama The Good Wife, which aired on CBS from 2009 to 2016, will star in a new drama for the network.

The future series from Marti Noxon titled Dietland, is a small-screen adaptation for Sarai Walker’s 2015 reselling novel of the same name.

This time around Margulies will play the role of Kitty Montgomery, a character which the network describes as “wildly ambitious magazine editor whose world is thrown into chaos when a feminist terrorist organization starts targeting people in her orbit.” In order to deal with the chaos, Kitty must become a master manipulator.

“Julianna is diabolically talented and beautiful, which makes her perfect to play our Kitty. I am genuinely honored to have the opportunity to work with her. She’s a special human and a rare actor,” said Noxon in a statement. “I can’t wait to start and for the world to get a load of this show.”

Dietland is scheduled to premiere in 2018 with a 10 episode order.
