The Modern Family star Julie Bowen is set to star as the lead in a new comedy pilot for CBS. 

The series hails from writers and exec producers  Max Mutchnick and David Kohan and Universal TV.

The multi-camera pilot titled Raised by Wolves, formerly titled Please Hold for Frankie Wolfe, follows a very successful and fiercely independent crisis manager’s (Bowen) whose world is turned upside down when she decides to let someone into her life for the first time—an 11-year-old girl who she adopts and raises with the occasional help of her fragile, nervous wreck of a sister.

Bowen’s casting comes as she prepares to sign off of the ABC comedy Modern Family, which is to conclude after 11 seasons this April.
