Justin Timberlake’s sixth studio album was a long time coming, and it seems the wait will soon be over. He announced the release of his next LP Everything I Thought I Was and teased its first single “Selfish”.

Timberlake recently hit the stage at The Orpheum in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, and used this free concert to promote his new music. He gave fans in attendance the first taste of his new sound by performing the mid-tempo ballad “Selfish”, which will serve as the lead single on his upcoming sixth solo studio album.

Shortly after the concert, Timberlake took to social media to share the teaser for his new project Justin Timberlake Presents: Everything I Thought It Was, narrated by none other than Benicio Del Toro. The short clip sets the tone for Timberlake’s next LP, which he’ll also promote with the performance on Saturday Night Live on January 27.

Everything I Thought It Was will mark Timberlake’s first album in six years, since the release of his 2018 LP Man of the Woods. This record debuted atop the US Billboard 200 following its release, and produced two top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart: “Filthy” and “Say Something”.
