Less than a week after Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook tied the knot, the newlywed couple spent their honeymoon in the hospital.
The Big Bang Theory actress revealed on Thursday via Instagram that she underwent a shoulder surgery just 5 days after their wedding.
“When your ‘honeymoon’ is shoulder surgery and your husband looks just as happy lol on the road to recovery—thank you for all the love and support! knowing @mrtankcook I’m sure he will be posting tons of hilarious gems,” she wrote alongside a photo from her hospital bed.
The 32-year-old actress has not disclosed what caused the injury but her husband is having a blast in taking photos of her spending their honeymoon laid up in bed.
In one photo, Cuoco was shown frowning with tears in her eyes. “Everyone has their own version of a newlywed glow,” Cook joked. “Well @normancook yours is memorable.”
The professional equestrian also shared a video of his wife sleeping soundly on the ride home, which he captioned, “snoring like a distressed walrus. I love you so much honey but wow!”
The couple got married in a beautiful ranch wedding held at Cook’s Pomponio horse ranch in Southern California. Cuoco wore a lovely white lace Reem Acra gown during the outdoor ceremony, and plunging Tadashi Shoji jumpsuit during reception, according to E! News.
