SNL Star Kate McKinnon Cast in Fox News-Inspired Drama

Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon is the latest addition to Fair and Balanced, the star-studded drama about the women of Fox News.

Her highest-profile non-comedic outing to date will see her teaming up with several acclaimed actors, who previously landed roles in this exciting project.

Fair and Balanced centers on a group of brave women who tried to put an end to the toxic male culture at Fox News by exposing disgraced CEO Roger Ailes for who he really is.

The cast includes Charlize Theron (as Megyn Kelly), Nicole Kidman (as Gretchen Carlson) and John Lithgow (as Ailes). I, Tonya stars Margot Robbie and Allison Janney also recently joined the project. McKinnon will play an unnamed producer, but her role is not based on a real person.

McKinnon rose to prominence as a cast member of Saturday Night Live, and won two Emmys for her performance. Before being cast in Fair and Balanced, McKinnon played one of the lead roles in the Ghostbusters remake from 2016 and appeared alongside Mila Kunis in this year’s The Spy Who Dumped Me.
