The 26-year-old model is expecting her first child with husband Justin Verlander.
Upton took to social media to announce the happy new, sharing a photo of herself in a red suit and a white top and a clearly bourgeoning baby bump. She captioned the snap with “#PregnantinMiami” adding Verlander.
Verlandet also took to Instagram, sharing the same pic, writing, “You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.”
The couple has been linked romantically since 2014 and were engaged in 2016. Verlander proposed to Upton with a massive custom-made ring. The engagement was revealed during the Met Gala of the same year. Upton and Verlander were married in a super exclusive wedding in Italy on November 4, days after Verlander’s team won the 2017 MLB World Series.
“Married life’s been great,” Verlander told PEOPLE in March. “I married my best friend, and we do everything we can to spend as much time together as possible. Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. It’s been a lovely first year of marriage.”
