Katey Sagal and Courteney Cox have been tapped to star in Showtime’s Shameless.
The series’ ninth season is an expanded order and includes 14 episodes which will air in two parts — fall and winter 2019.
The upcoming season will see Sagal, best known for her role on Married With Children star as Ingrid, a psych patient who catches Frank’s (William H. Macy) eye. Meanwhile, Cox, the Friend’s alum will play Jen Wagner, a famous actress who hires fellow recovering alcoholic Lip (Jeremy Allen White) to be her sober companion and then takes him on an epic search for a cocktail.
The first part returns September 9 and the second will include Shameless’ landmark 100th episode.
