Kathleen Turner and Ginnifer Goodwin have been tapped to star in Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings.
The two actresses will be joined by Kyle Bornheimer to star in an episode of the anthology titled These Old Bones.
Each of the eight episodes is based around one of Parton’s most iconic songs showing its inspirations, stories, and memories. These Old Bones is the second episodes following Jolene which is the debut episode. Jolene will star Julianne Hough as the title character, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Dallas Roberts and Parton.
These Old Bones is set in the 1940s and follows a determined DC lawyer who returns to her small Smoky Mountain hometown to prove herself professionally when a mysterious old mountain woman, who locals believe to be a fortune teller, threatens a lumber company’s business. What results is a test of faith along with shocking secrets from the past. Turner will play Miss Mary Shaw aka Old Bones, Goodwin will play Genevieve and Bornheimer will play Landon.
Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings is slated to launch in 2019.
