Katy Perry Tops Forbes’ 2018 List Of Highest-Paid Female Musicians

Forbes just released their annual list of the highest-paid women in music, and Katy Perry managed to out-earn all of her rivals, including Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. She pulled in $83 million between June 2017 and June 2018, thanks to her highly successful Witness: The Tour.

The 13-time Grammy nominee reportedly grossed $1 million per night during her 80-date tour, and that’s the main reason behind her huge success. Katy Perry also served as one of the judges on a new season of American Idol and it’s been rumored she secured a $20 million paycheck for this gig.

Perry was closely followed by Taylor Swift, who spent the last year promoting her sixth studio album. It’s important to note the list only takes June-to-June time-frame into account, so it didn’t record the complete revenue from Swift’s Reputation Tour, which wrapped up on November 21 in Tokyo.
