Netflix’s figure skating show Spinning Out was on its last legs after Emma Roberts left the project, but the game is back on! Kaya Scodelario accepted the responsibility of playing the lead role in this challenging series.
The Maze Runner star will play up-and-coming figure skater Kat Baker who’s left the competition track behind after a disastrous fall. She gets an opportunity to return to her career as a pair skater with a bad-boy partner, but secrets from her past come haunting her as she tries to make a comeback. Kat and her partner are forced to overcome many obstacles along the way, both on and off the ice. They’ll have to face daunting odds, injury, financial sacrifice, and potential mental breakdown on their way to realizing their Olympic dream.
Spinning Out will mark Scodelario’s first return to television since 2013 when she starred on the final season of British teen drama Skins, which brought her to prominence in her home country.
