CMT has confirmed that Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, and Sam Hunt are slated to take the stage at the 2018 CMT Music Awards.
With the evening fast approaching, it is about time we got to know who will perform during this year’s award show hosted by Little Big Town.
The performances were confirmed by CMT who also said that additional artists are set to perform at this year’s show.
The fan-voted awards show for the best country music videos and television performances will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on June 6. The evening will feature American Idol winner and The Voice judge, Kelly Clarkson, at her CMT Music Awards debut, singing her rendition of the rock hit “American Woman.”
Nominees for the awards show were revealed earlier this month. Coming into the night with the highest number of nominations are Carrie Underwood, Florida Georgia Line, and Jason Aldean, with four nominations each. Host Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton, Lauren Alaina and Thomas Rhett follow closely with two nods each. But with Underwood still holding the record for most CMT Music Awards wins, a total of 17, it’s safe to assume that come June 7, that number will be higher.
