Kelsey Grammer to Star in Fox Drama “Proven Innocent”

The Frasier alum has been tapped to star in Fox’s new legal drama Proven Innocent.

Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Kelsey Grammar will replace the character played by Brian D’Arcy James in the pilot, Cole Bellows. The character is a “hard-as-nails and tough-on-crime state’s attorney, who goes up against an underdog legal team committed to reopening investigations to exonerate the innocent who were ‘proven’ guilty.” That team is lead by lawyer Madeline Scott, portrayed by actress Rachelle Lefevre.

The subject matter is very timely and worth exploring; I am excited to be a part of that,” said Grammer.

The series is penned by David Elliot and executive produced by Danny Strong, Vincent Kartheiser, Russell Hornsby and Riley Smith.

Also starring are Vincent Kartheiser, Nikki M. James, and Russell Hornsby.
